With An Exuberance of Larks, I hoped to create a work that visually communicated the delicacy of a bird feather, with a little shimmer, floating quietly and weightlessly in space. I was drawn to the simplicity and crispness of the playful, musical, and joyful word “lark”. The imagery came slowly, but in my mind I always imagined it would be barely visible in white, paired with an ethereal blue color.
Fiber/Paper/Love was a group exhibition curated by Elizabeth Keithline that also featured the work of Catherine Evans, Aaron Pexa, Alyce Santoro, and Rebecca Siemering. All artists explore and interpret fiber’s use and forms in innovative ways.
